Official: Xbox is not stopping consoles, quite the contrary

Official confirmation: Xbox is not leaving the console market, even if the company will sell some of its exclusive games to competition Sony and Nintendo.

At the beginning of February, persistent rumors claimed that Xbox was going to allow its formerly exclusive games to also be ported to the competing PlayStation 5 machine. A decision which would mean, according to rumors, a major change in strategy on the part of the manufacturer and would even imply that it would be a first step towards abandoning consoles to concentrate solely on the creation of games. With the result, a start of panic and/or spite among owners of an Xbox console…

A word to Dixit Sarah Bond, president of Xbox££££

This situation was recently clarified directly by Xbox executives who, on the one hand, confirm the arrival of new consoles in the near future, on the other hand that four previously exclusive games would soon arrive on Nintendo and Sony machines (titles not yet revealed). Not only is the company continuing in the console business, but it is "truly focused on delivering the biggest technological leap you've ever seen in a generation of hardware," said Sarah Bond, president of Xbox.

And Phil Spencer -CEO of Microsoft Gaming- added: “I am very proud of the work accomplished by the hardware team, not only for this year, but also for the future. We really think about creating machines that players are interested in because of their unique aspects. Unique like a portable console? I'm a big fan of portable consoles, Spencer dodges. I'm a big fan, but nothing to announce yet."
