Paprika: Satoski Kon's cult anim gets a 4K facelift for its 18th birthday

Nearly 20 years ago, the father of Perfect Blue, Satoski Kon, offered the public Paprika, undoubtedly his most beautiful film which imagined in the future a new psychotherapeutic treatment thanks to which it was possible to enter into the dreams of patients.

In 2006, the fourth and last feature film was released by the director of Satoski Kon who died a few years later, in 2010. On a screenplay co-written with Kon and Seishi Minakami, with Paprika he offered a particularly successful adaptation of the eponymous novel by Yasutaka Tsutsui , Japanese star of cyber-culture, published in 1993.

Paprika 4K, pre-order open

For its 18th anniversary, this adult anime full of psychological suspense and surreal science-fantasy, is getting a beautiful 4K facelift presented in a Steelbook box set (from Sony). A little more patience for Paprika fans: this beautiful object is only expected in stores from February 21. Good news: it is already available for pre-order.
