Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2, banned in the USA

Apple can no longer sell its last two connected watches in the USA, due to a patent conflict.

On December 18, Apple announced the cessation of sales of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the United States, in order to respond to orders from the International Trade Commission. In October, this federal agency established that Apple was violating the patents of the medical company Masimo (also owner of Denon and Marantz) concerning blood oxygen sensors.

Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 removed from selling in the United States

More precisely, the Apple site stopped selling the incriminated watches from December 21, and Apple stores will do so from the 24th. Note that the decision only concerns Apple and that Americans will still be able to buy their Apple Watch from distributors like Amazon.

However, from December 25 Apple can no longer supply resellers who will only be able to rely on their stocks from this date. Please note that this decision does not concern the rest of the world, and that Apple naturally intends to do everything in its power to restore the situation.
