With the DMP-A8, EverSolo intends to drive the point home and definitively overtake the competition thanks to equipment and features to make the best references of the moment pale in comparison. In addition to network playback, the EverSolo DMP-A8 also acts as a Dac for connected sources and as a stereo pre-amplifier. Without forgetting the music server function via its 64 GB internal memory expandable up to 4 TB by adding an SSD drive (M2 format).
EverSolo DMP-A8, design
In terms of design, the front features a superb 6'' (15.2 cm) color LCD touchscreen display and a wheel surrounded by LEDs for a very elegant visual result. The rest of the aesthetic is in the same vein with an aluminum front and chassis, striated cheeks and a matte black color for a beautiful overall effect. Namely, the network section is associated with a switching power supply while the analog stage benefits from a linear power supply, with a toroidal transformer.
EverSolo DMP-A8, Dac functionality
In terms of equipment, we notice a double Dac AK4191EQ/AK4499EX signed AKM accepting PCM files up to 768 kHz/32 bits and DSD512 (22.4 MHz), and Accusilicon 45 femtosecond oscillators (clocks), 1584 MHz and 49.152 MHz with ultra-low phase noise to limit jitter as much as possible and offer the most transparent sound reproduction possible. Namely, the EverSolo DMP-A8 features exclusive EOS (EverSolo Original Sampling-Rate Audio Engine) technology to ensure bit-perfect management with audio streaming applications.

Playback of digital music files is ensured via an asynchronous USB-C port (connecting a Mac or PC computer), or the Bluetooth 5.0 APT-X HD/LDAC, Wi-Fi n Dual Band, AirPlay 2 functions or UPnP multimedia gateway (DLNA). To be complete, we must also point out Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect and the Roon Ready certification, plus access to Qobuz, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and access to web radios (TuneIn). Of course, Hi-Res Audio certification is required.
EverSolo DMP-A8, pre-amplifier functionality
Arranged symmetrically, the pre-amplification stage of the EverSolo DMP-A8 is based on hand-picked components and OPA1612 operational amps. The volume circuit is of the R2R type combining discrete resistors and high-end relays.
EverSolo DMP-A8, connectivity
The EverSolo DMP-A8 has rich and varied connectivity. Judge for yourself: two optical inputs, two coaxial, one HDMI ARC to transmit the sound from a television or connected audio-video sources to an amplifier, one stereo RCA input/output, one stereo XLR input/output, one USB-A port plus the already mentioned USB-C port, a USB-A output port, an optical output, a coaxial and a gigabit Ethernet port.
