Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro return in Sicario 3
Producers Molly Smith and Trent Luckinbill have hinted that Emily Blunt might return (she was in the first film), and that McQuarrie and Sheridan, in one way or another, would also be involved in directing this new opus: “We don’t yet know who will direct. It will all be a question of timing. We obviously have a host of excellent potential directors, from Taylor Sheridan to Chris McQuarrie, but it will all be a question of timing and schedule,” say the producers.
If we don't yet know the name of the future director of the new Sicario, we know that Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro will be back in this third opus. Note that Denis Villeneuve (Dune) directed the first Sicario, and Stefano Sollima (Without Remorse) directed Sicario 2, the war of the cartels.
