This co-production by Eddie Murphy and Ron Howard (Inferno, In the Heart of the Ocean) is comedian Eddie Murphy's (Beverly Hills Cop, An Armchair for Two) first foray into Christmas family fiction.
Christmas on CandyCane Lane is directed by Reginald Hudlin (The Last OG, The Black Godfather), who previously directed Murphy in the comedy Boomerang in the early 90s. Christmas on CandyCane Lane, filmed during Christmas 2022 in Los Angeles , lines up a cast including Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish) and Jillian Bell (22, Jump Street).
Christmas in CandyCane Lane is part of a three-film deal Eddie Murphy signed with streaming platform Amazon.
