Netflix and Youtube, the “coolest” brands for children

Ahead of Nintendo and Disney, the Netflix and YouTube video platforms are considered the “coolest brands” by 7-14 year olds.

UK child and family specialist Beano Brain recently released its latest annual report on the 'Coolest Brands' for kids, based on a year-long survey of 60,000 subjects aged 7-14 in the UK and the US.

Netflx and YouTube already firmly rooted in children's heads

On the British island, Netflix has become first this year, overtaking YouTube, at the top of the ranking last year. The next three places are occupied by McDonalds, Nike and Oreo (new entrant). The rest of the Top 10 includes Nintendo, Disney and Coca-Cola, among others.

We find some commonalities in the American ranking, with YouTube and Netflix first and second in particular, and still Nintendo and Disney. Note, however, the presence of the Amazon commerce site and the American chain of stores Target.
