CES 23 > Samsung 77'' (196 cm) QD Oled Ultra HD 4K TV unveiled in January…

As already announced in our columns, Samsung plans to expand its QD Oled TV range in 2023 with the provision of 49'' (124 cm) and 77'' (216 cm) panels. The latter will be the star of the Korean booth at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas 2023 in early January.

As a reminder, Samsung unveiled last summer at the Bexco (Busan Exhibition and Convention Center) in Busan, South Korea, during the IMID 2022 conference (International Meeting on Information Display) which was held from 23 to 26 August, a 77'' Ultra HD 8K QD Oled prototype (see our news QD Oled Samsung Display 77'' TV panel unveiled at the IMID 2022 conference). The one planned for CES and in the brand's catalog for 2023 (and already presented to certain European distributors) will be an Ultra HD 4K model.

TV QD Oled UHD 4K Samsung 77'', True Black trademark registration

According to information from the Korean daily ET News, this 77 '' QD Oled TV will offer even better contrast compared to the Samsung QE55S95B specimens (click to discover the complete product test by the editorial staff) and Samsung QE65S95B appeared in 2022, in particular to manage their small defect visible in very rare conditions: in a dark room lit by a fill light, depending on its placement and therefore the angle of reflection of light on the screen, the latter may appear purple and the blacks a bit gray. As such, we can better understand Samsung's recent "True Black" trademark registration, which will undoubtedly be intended for the brand's QD Oled 2023 TVs.

For the rest, the equipment of this television will bring together all of Samsung's know-how, namely Smart TV Tizen, Gaming Hub (see our news Samsung 2022 Smart TVs dematerialize PCs and consoles) and of course HDMI 2.1 connectors. More details in a few weeks.
