IFA 26 > Philips Fidelio L5: premium wireless headphones designed for immersion

New circumaural wireless headset designed for audiophile immersion presented at the end of March during a European conference (cf. our news Philips relaunches the Fidelio range in 2026 with the FA7 micro-system and the L5 headset), the Philips Fidelio L5 Philips was unveiled even more last week at the IFA show in Berlin. Expected in October 2026, this model combines a [abc]Hi-Fi[/abc] sound profile, intelligent active noise reduction and a 60-hour battery life.

The Fidelio L5 will arrive in October 2026. This circumaural headset is based on a custom-designed 36 mm driver (now equipped with a ceramic-coated dome and a woven silk suspension), now benefiting from a ceramic-coated dome and a woven silk suspension to improve rigidity and reduce distortion. Compatible with LDAC for high-resolution wireless transmission, it additionally integrates a Spatial Audio mode (accessible from the dedicated app) designed to enhance immersion.

Philips Fidelio L5, adaptive noise reduction and artificial intelligence Philips highlights a particularly sophisticated noise reduction system. Adaptive active noise reduction technology compensates for fit changes in real time thanks to sound leak detection. For communications, the system is made up of five microphones, including two AI-assisted beamforming types, to target the user's voice and ensure calls of absolute clarity, even in noisy environments.

Philips Fidelio L5, Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast and Hi-Res Audio The Philips Fidelio L5 headset offers Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity with support for the LC3 codec and Auracast functionality for public broadcasts, while retaining multipoint connection. It also features automatic wear detection that pauses content, real-time optimization of active noise reduction (via sound leak detection and an adaptive Transparency mode) and the possibility of wired listening via USB-C to fully enjoy lossless Hi-Res Audio files up to 96 kHz/24 bits. The Philips Headphones app also includes an AI Neural EQ equalizer and an adaptive equalizer that adjusts bass and treble according to volume and musical content.

Philips Fidelio L5, replaceable elements and long-lasting comfort Comfort has not been forgotten, with a curved headband distributing weight evenly and extremely soft oval memory foam ear cushions designed for long listening sessions. Important detail for durability: the ear cushions and rechargeable battery can be easily replaced by the user. Finally, battery life rises to 60 hours of playback (50 hours with ANC enabled), and a 5-minute quick charge provides up to 8 additional hours of playback.

Availability announced for October 2026 at the indicative price of 199.99 euros.
