Bambass, the eco-friendly bamboo headphones (concept)

While bamboo has been replacing plastic for some time in many everyday products for ecological purposes, will we see it arriving on our electronic products?

We like our headphones (and other electronic gadgets) but they are not the best friends of the planet, contributing in particular to increasing the mass of non-recyclable waste once they end up in the trash. It is on this observation that the designer Aakansh Chaturvedi imagined Bambass, a super nice helmet made mostly of bamboo.

Eco-friendly and good insulator

In particular, he uses traditional weaving methods for headphones. As for bamboo - in addition to being easily recyclable - it theoretically offers excellent sound insulation. There is also vegan leather around the headband and even if inevitably some metal or plastic elements remain, the helmet is much greener than its colleagues on the market.

It is of course only a concept, but it is hoped that it will inspire the big brands to gradually introduce devices more suitable for the emergencies of today and tomorrow. Source: Yanko Design
