Every year on April 1st, most sites split their little fish, momentarily offering a product or service that is too crazy to be true.
Even AVCesar.com had tried it in 2018, and after a first Top in 2019, then nothing at all in 2020 and 2021 (the pandemic, it took a toll on our morale, sorry), we are back this year with the best fish caught on the net in the field of tech.
April Fools 2022, summary of brands
• We start with Nothing which presents the most boring smartphone in the world called Another (1) ("yet another"), described as "exactly the same as everything else". Joking aside, supposed to actually present its first mobile this year, the brand will do well not to disappoint.
• Next comes a new Xiaomi tablet, except that “tablet†in English also means “tabletâ€. Xiaomi's ConfiBoost is a mint that is supposed to boost your confidence. Why not…
• Oppo is also playing the game of fish with Oppo Gotcha, a gadget reminiscent of the famous Tamagochi, a small virtual character to take care of and who is even able to read your mood. Note that it has a screen with a refresh rate of… 1,422 hertz.
• Lionsgate Film is taking advantage of the "original" aura of Nicolas Cage to announce that the actor is changing his name on the occasion of the release of the film A Talent in Solid Gold. And for this announcement, what could be better than a video that we let you discover below…
• The manufacturer of video accessories Elgato thinks of those who regret the good old days of sizzling resolutions and offers the Cam Link Retro, a small box allowing to drastically reduce the resolution of your Webcam. 4K is fine two minutes.
• Let's end with the drone manufacturer DJI, which now equips its flying devices with the DJI Airbag. A simple triple click on the photo trigger and your drone will be protected against trees, drops and other aggressive birds.
See you in 2023…
