Smart TV and streaming on the rise in the US

Connected televisions but also connected speakers are becoming more and more part of the daily life of Americans.

According to a recent study by Park Associates (via Mediaplaynews), 56% of American households equipped with a broadband connection have a Smart TV, an increase compared to 54% in 2020. By the way, the penetration of speakers and connected screens reached 53%.

Streaming up, cable down

The Park Associates report also indicates that 82% of households with broadband subscribe to at least one OTT service, or 6% better than last year. At the same time, 58% of households subscribe to a traditional TV service (cable), ie 4% less than last year.
