Reactions in Chen at Apple

Changes within Apple's teams suggest that the revolutionary blood glucose monitoring feature, which has been in development for over 15 years, may finally be nearing completion.
Rumors have been circulating for some time about the arrival of blood glucose monitoring on the Apple Watch. This non-invasive method is highly anticipated by diabetics, who currently have no other way to measure their blood sugar than by pricking their finger to collect a drop of blood and placing it in a glucometer using a disposable test strip. Blood glucose monitoring on Apple Watch: finally a glimmer of hope? This feature has been in development for over fifteen years, based on an idea conceived when Steve Jobs was still alive, and was initially slated for release in 2015 on the very first Apple Watch. According to the latest information gathered by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the project has recently been brought in-house under the leadership of Zongjian Chen, an engineer in charge of advanced technologies. "Some see this transition as a sign that the project is finally progressing to a stage where Chen, known for getting things done, can accelerate the development of this technology with the aim of eventually making it available to the general public," explains Gurman. In short, a glimmer of hope that this feature will finally arrive to give diabetics a helping hand.
