130" TV: TCL CSOT unveils the world's largest LCD screen at SID 2026

TCL CSOT recently unveiled several of its display technologies, including the world's largest LCD screen, with a diagonal equivalent to the one unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas last January by Samsung.
At the recent SID Display Week 2026, held from May 3rd to 8th in Los Angeles, Chinese manufacturer TCL CSOT showcased several of its latest display technologies, including the world's largest LCD screen, boasting an impressive 130-inch diagonal (3.30 meters)! The 130-inch diagonal will impact the price of this very large format. Incidentally, this announcement from the Chinese manufacturer CSOT confirms that the TCL group is the manufacturer of the panel behind the Samsung Micro RGB 130-inch model presented earlier this year at CES 2026. TCL Electronics is also expected to produce its own 130-inch television in the future, based on this LCD panel manufactured by its subsidiary CSOT, although the price is likely to be very high. The arrival of the 130" screen size will have at least one positive consequence: a price drop for the 115" (292 cm) models. Don't get too excited, however. After speaking with TCL representatives in recent days, prices will remain reasonable up to 98" (249 cm). Beyond that, televisions will remain expensive for the vast majority of consumers, due to insufficient production volume (only two 130" panels in a single Gen 11 motherboard, see photo above), constrained by the limitations of motherboard production.
