A rare interview with two Apple executives who reveal more on hot topics like AI and "space computing"...
In an interview with Tomsguide, Apple's head of hardware, John Ternus, and marketing director, Greg Joswiak, revealed interesting information about Apple's inner workings and projects. "AI is not a sprint": Apple embraces its pace in the face of the competition. Here are two excerpts, starting with AI, or the company's justification for its lag behind the competition. "We've been doing things with AI for several years, haven't we?" explains Joswiak. "And generative AI gives us an opportunity to do even more. So yes, I'm excited about it, but it's clearly not a sprint. It's a marathon. We're going to be working with intelligence for decades, not just a few months or a few years." Augmented reality, the fusion of the physical and digital worlds deemed inevitable. Regarding Apple's future smart glasses, the two men naturally remain silent, but Joswiak does say that we are "at the beginning of spatial computing." And Ternus adds that the combination of the physical and digital worlds (i.e., augmented reality) is "inevitable." Ternus and Joswiak won't say any more about future Apple products. They do, however, affirm that Apple is "working on some really cool stuff." We don't doubt it.
