While previous rumors suggested a delay (from 2026 to 2027) for the very first foldable iPhone, it now appears the device might finally arrive next year. According to Chinese leaker Fixed Focus Digital, Apple has begun gathering and stockpiling components for the production of its foldable smartphone. No further details are available at the time of writing, but it is certain that the company is stockpiling foldable OLED displays, titanium frames, and other hinge components. This information indicates that the company is entering the crucial pre-production phase, during which suppliers begin ramping up the manufacturing of various components to prepare for mass production.
