Microsoft "confirms" the PC future of Xbox

"It's funny that people consider consoles and PCs as two different things," explains the Microsoft CEO, confirming the latest rumors about the next Xbox.
A short while ago, WindowsCentral reported that the next Xbox would be usable as a Windows PC, optimized for television. A new direction for Microsoft, recently confirmed indirectly by its president, Satya Nadella. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, had this to say: In an interview with the TBPN podcast, he addressed the evolution of Microsoft's gaming division: "Remember, the biggest sector of video games is Windows. Not to mention Steam, which built a huge marketplace there; they did a remarkable job. Today, we are the largest publisher after the agreement with Activision. Therefore, we want to be an exemplary publisher. Like the approach we took with Office, we want to be present everywhere, on all platforms." We therefore want to ensure that, on console, PC, mobile, cloud gaming, or television, gamers can enjoy games everywhere. The Xbox, a PC like any other, optimized for video games… And he added, “We also wanted to do some system-level innovation, both on the console and on the PC. It's quite funny that people consider the console and the PC as two different things. We designed the console because we wanted to create a better PC, capable of then working very well for video games. I'd like to revisit some of that popular belief.” A popular belief that will therefore normally be revisited with the next Xbox.
