Dynamic Island on all iPhone 15s

Inaugurated on the new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, the new Dynamic Island interface around the front sensors will arrive on all iPhone 15 models next year.

According to analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), the new Dynamic Island function of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will also be available on the "non-Pro" iPhone 15 next year. Young - renowned for the reliability of his predictions (92.9% on AppleTrack) - however believes that the standard iPhone 15s will still not have an LTPO screen, therefore no variable refresh rate, and therefore no Always on mode. (always activated) also inaugurated on the iPhone 14 Pro.

Dynamic Island, késako?

As a reminder, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have eliminated the notch at the top of the screen, which has been replaced by two perforations – one circular, the other oval – for the front sensors. Aware of the limited aesthetics of this approach, Apple camouflaged the misery with a concept called Dynamic Island. In summary, the software part of the smartphone changes the size of the black frame around the sensors according to needs: notifications, alerts, navigation interface... As a result, the perforations are almost invisible, and the aesthetic handicap is transformed into ergonomic functionality. Clever.
