Technics SB-C600, 2-way Hi-Fi bookshelf speakers

In addition to the Technics SB-G90M2 presented a fortnight ago, the Japanese manufacturer also unveiled the Technics SB-C600 two-way bookshelf speakers. These, according to their creator, are intended for those who cannot accommodate the SB-G90M2 columns at home.

First observation, the design of the Technics SB-C600 bookshelf speakers (bass-reflex load always but central vent) is in the same vein as that of the Technics SB-G90M2.

Technics SB-C600, mini Technics SB-G90M2?

To summarize, we find on the SB-C600 many of the technologies deployed on the SB-G90M2 with however some major differences including the absence of boomers. Exit therefore the double terminal block for the bi-wiring and the multiply waveguide equipped with an acoustic absorption material.

On the other hand, we find BDMA technology (balanced speaker mount architecture). The latter, through a vertical internal element to the chassis and connected to its base, allows the HP coaxial (anodized aluminum) to be mounted around the center of gravity of its magnet.

Technics SB-C600, acoustic package

The Technics SB-C600 use a midrange / boomer-tweeter two-way coaxial speaker (25mm with 150mm aluminum dome) for perfect spatial consistency of these frequencies. A linear phase equalizer is of course always present to evacuate the phase disturbances and to align the phase of the high and medium frequencies.

Availability announced for the month of November. Indicative price: € 999 per pair.
