While 2029 is being suggested by sources within the PlayStation division, it should be remembered that the architect of the latest PlayStation consoles, Mark Cerny, previously stated that the development of the next generation PlayStation would in no way be rushed, but would be based on a long-term roadmap. This would give developers more time to fully exploit the power of the PS5 Pro.
PlayStation less pressed by Xbox competition in the future?££££
Perhaps we should also link what appears to be an indiscretion to the existential questions currently agitating the oldest collaborators of the opposing camp, Xbox (see our news "Xbox consoles are dead"). If Microsoft ultimately decided to skip the replacements for the Xbox Series S/X in favor of partnerships like Asus ROG Xbox Ally (see our news ROG Xbox Ally/X, new portable "Xbox" consoles), Sony would have more time to replace the PS5/PS5 Pro.
