The PlayStation 5 didn't even celebrate its first anniversary as its successor might already be on the rails.
Future PlayStation platforms…
This can be deduced from a job offer published by PlayStation Europe, looking for a doctoral intern for its research and development sector. The role of this employee will be in particular "to help identify and develop the technological portfolio of future PlayStation platforms". Future PlayStation platforms are undoubtedly the PS5 Pro, but also perhaps the PS6.
PlayStation 6 not before the end of the decade
If you think it's a bit early to start, remember that the development of the PS4 began in 2008 while the PS3 was released in 2006. The same for the PS5, on the drawing board in 2015 when the PS4 was released in 2013. No impatience, however, because the PlayStation 5 is still in its infancy, and if we are to believe the history of the console cycle, the PS6 will only arrive at the end of this decade.
