It seems far away, the era when Star Wars shone with an unshakable aura. Even the biggest failures (the J.J. Abrams trilogy) were salvaged by flashes of brilliance like the The Mandalorian series.
But the projects multiplied, a little too much, and the quality seems to have been diluted over time. Even the recent film The Mandalorian struggled to rekindle the lost spark. We therefore hope that 2027 will put Star Wars back on a path it has been off for quite some time.
Star Wars release schedule for 2027
• Ahsoka season 2 - January 20 on Disney+
More than three years after the end of the first season, Anakin Skywalker's apprentice is back on Disney+
• Star Wars Episode IV - February 17 in theaters
Re-release of the original episode for the first time in Imax and Imax 70 mm, without any of the controversial changes later added by George Lucas
• Star Wars Starfighter - May 26 in theaters
Brand-new Star Wars film with Ryan Gosling (photo above). Hopefully it will make us forget the disappointment of The Mandalorian on the big screen
• Star Wars Maul Shadow Lord - Date not confirmed, on Disney+
Return confirmed in 2027 for the second season of the animated series, even though no exact date has yet been announced
