« The Pokémon x Beats Pill we deserved », that is the message recently posted on X by Courtyard.io, an online marketplace specializing in physical collectibles, notably cards from the Japanese Pokémon franchise.
An unofficial but all the more inspired response
And in this message, we discover 3D renderings of a Beats Pill nicely dressed up in a Pokémon style. It is a response to the official collaboration recently unveiled by Apple (owner of Beats), with the famous Bluetooth speaker simply decorated with an illustration featuring two of the famous little monsters, including the inevitable Pikachu. Here, the concept goes much further, after noticing that the Beats Pill has exactly the same shape as the Pokémon Diglett, with an asymmetrical chassis brilliantly reproducing in volume the iconic lines of the Poké Ball for a far bolder visual result. Colored brown, fitted with two black eyes and a pink nose, and positioned vertically on a stand shaped like a pile of stones, the speaker thus becomes a perfect copy of this Pokémon (see photo below, from Pokémon Wiki).
A simple 3D concept alas, but truly “The Pokémon x Beats Pill we deserved” to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The classic edition of the new Beats Pill is meanwhile indeed available.
