Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays and spatial sound
These Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays reach a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, a record for this range. Brightness also adapts in real time to usage conditions thanks to an optimized version of the in-house Vision Booster technology. In addition, there is four-channel spatial sound, twice as much as on the previous generation, to deliver a great multimedia experience.
AI at work and Photoshop included as standard
On the software side, the three-app multi-window feature is appreciated, for example with a tutorial video, a note-taking app and an intelligent assistant on the same screen. As for AI, the tablets come with six months of free trial of Google AI Pro to access Google's most powerful models, including Gemini Notebook.
And for the first time on an Android tablet, Adobe Photoshop 16 is preinstalled, with four months of access offered to the mobile subscription. For this app, one should note a naturally tablet-optimized interface as well as support for the S Pen stylus, which is still supplied with the tablets (in addition to the Notability note-taking app).
Record thinness, 3 nm and 3D vapor chamber
At 5.1 mm thick, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is the thinnest Galaxy Tab ever designed by Samsung, without preventing it from achieving 23 hours of battery life (21 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12+). Charging takes it from 0% to 100% in 95 minutes. In terms of performance, the 3 nm chip delivers neural processing up to 61% faster than the previous generation, as well as CPU and GPU performance respectively 19% and 17% higher than those of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. To cool everything down, there is a new 3D vapor chamber that efficiently dissipates heat during demanding tasks. Finally, note that the Galaxy Tab S12 are IP68 certified, guaranteeing resistance to water and dust.
