This film adaptation of the eponymous novel by Alasdair Gray is shot by the adventurous Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favorite, Killing of the Deer sacred, The Lobster). Poor Creatures, which is reminiscent of some of Terry Gilliam's visual delusions, has a pretty crazy cast. Emma Stone (La La Land), in Olympic form and freshly crowned with the Oscar for Best Actress for her role, is supported by Mark Ruffalo (Spotlight, Avengers saga) and Willem Dafoe (Platoon, Federal Police, Los Angeles), both amazing.

In the world, this non-conformist work on the frontiers of indie film collected a very respectable box office of 104 million dollars. It was also a success in France since almost 550,000 spectators enjoyed this atypical quest for female independence in theaters. On the additional side, Disney announces the making of the film and cut scenes.
