Carrie-Anne Moss in Star Wars The Acolyte, trailer

First glimpse of the new Star Wars series (coming June on Disney+) which explores a little-known period, well before the Skywalker era.

On June 5, the first two episodes (out of eight) of the new Star Wars series The Acolyte will be broadcast. An event since it is the first time that such a work explores the events of the High Republic, a prosperous period for Jedi knights.

The official pitch: “While the Jedi Order is at its peak and prosperity reigns in the High Republic, several mysterious crimes are being committed. A respected Jedi master will lead an investigation that will pit him against a dangerous warrior from his past. As new clues emerge, the two embark on a dark path where sinister forces will show them that not everything is always what it seems...”

At the helm of the series is Leslye Headland, to whom we owe the Netflix series Russian Doll (we recommend the first season). Big cast too, led by Carrie-Anne Moss (Matrix) and a whole bunch of quality actors: Amandla Stenberg (Hunger Games), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (Top Gun: Maverick), Dafne Keen (Logan), Jodie Turner-Smith (Anne Boleyn), Rebecca Henderson (Call Jane), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll) and Dean-Charles Chapman (1917).
