Tim Cook recently stepped down in favor of John Ternus at the head of Apple, and the new CEO intends to speed up product development in order to offer more frequent launches. That is what Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says, a journalist often well informed about the inner workings of the Cupertino company. John Ternus would like Apple to “expand its range of devices and create a leaner organization, more focused on engineering.”
Launches throughout the year
Apple could thus stop relying on its two traditional release periods (spring and autumn) and instead introduce more products more quickly throughout the year. John Ternus is also said to have explained internally that Apple must become “more experimental” in order to remain competitive against other tech giants, especially in the era of artificial intelligence.
