The rumor that we reported to you last year will have come true: Spotify is preparing to offer entire video clips to accompany the music tracks already available.
Concretely, this functionality is in beta testing for a selection of Premium subscribers in eleven regions: Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, and United Kingdom. And only a few artists are involved: Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Ice Spice and a handful of local stars like Aluna and Asake.

In detail, the “Switch to video” option clickable on the audio screen allows you to display the clip instead of the cover. When a video is playing, the option changes to “Switch to audio”. Spotify specifies that this feature will be available on Android, iOS, Mac, Windows and Smart TV applications, without mentioning internet browsers.
