The forecast comes from David Hsieh, the research director for displays at Omdia, based on his contacts within the display industry.
Sony Mini LED RGB TV, massive adoption of Mini LED RGB in 2026 ?££££
According to him, Sony plans to adopt Mini LED RGB (or RGB) technology on its entire Bravia 7 II and Bravia 9 II references, respectively composed of 65", 75", 85" 115" and 50", 55", 65", 75", 85", 98", 100 inch models. This would give a total of 11 Mini LED RGB references within the Sony TV range in 2026 (note that each country chooses, based on the brand's discussions with resellers/distributors, to distribute all or part of these different diagonals). As a reminder, last March Sony officially announced Mini LED RGB TVs for 2026 (see our news Sony Mini LED RGB TV in 2026, it's official).
David Hsieh's roadmap indicates that these different LCD panels, all 120 Hz, would be supplied by CSOT (TCL subsidiary) and AUO (see Omdia illustration above published on AVSForum). To be continued
