Several Game of Thrones spin-off series are in development at HBO, including one around the conquest of Westeros by Aegon Targaryen, 100 years before House of the Dragon and 300 years before Game of Thrones.

Contrary to other spin off series also in preparation (like the one on Jon Snow), the one on Aegon recently gave news, reported by the media Hollywood Postpone. We thus learn that a new screenwriter is attached to the project, and not just any screenwriter, since it is Mattson Tomlin, who worked on the next The Batman 2 as well as MegaMan and Keanu Reeves' BRZRKR.
The series tells how Aegon (the first of his name, not to be confused with number 2 of House of the Dragon) and his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys, used their army and three dragons to unify Westeros, making Aegon the first king to sit on the Iron Throne, which he himself created.
