Samsung Galaxy Ring connected ring, the information-giving finger

Additional information on the Samsung Galaxy Ring connected ring, presented in our columns a week ago (see our news Samsung Galaxy Ring connected ring, official) and which should be released before the end of the year.

On January 17, Samsung held its annual Unpacked event during which the three new smartphones in the Galaxy S range were announced, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24. And the Korean manufacturer didn't stop there since at the end of the conference - in the space of a very short video - Samsung revealed that it was working on a connected ring, the Galaxy Ring.

No other details therefore, but colleagues on site managed to glean some additional information, which is here. We learn that the ring is equipped with “cutting edge sensing technologies” and that it will allow users to manage their health and well-being with a “complete and simplified approach”.

The Galaxy Ring will also be comfortable enough to wear all the time. Important to know because the longer biometric data is collected, the more precise it is. Finally, people who were able to see the prototype during the Unpacked event reveal that the gadget is very light, that it comes in three finishes and that several sizes are available, even for large fingers.
