A big fan of role-playing and video games, Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher) is the leading figure in the project to adapt the board game Warhammer 40,000. And it is with great pleasure that Games Workshop - publisher of Warhammer - announces the signing of an agreement with Amazon Studios. In other words, films and series about the Warhammer universe are in the pipeline.
Warhammer 40,000 on the big screen, not for 2 or 3 years
Henry Cavill is naturally involved, serving as executive producer. He will thus have a right to review multiple aspects of the works, notably the writing, and could even play a small role in the process. The team responsible for the project says they do not yet know what they will start with, “a film or a TV series? Both ?! », and warns that it will take at least two or three years for the adaptation to come to fruition.
We of course expect that the result will be broadcast on Prime Video, even if Games Workshop does not rule out not a cinema outing on the big screen.
