First trailer Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, with Eddy Murphy obviously

Netflix has just revealed the first trailer for the all-new Beverly Hills Cop starring Eddy Murphy. Warning the eyes.

A handful of shots, iconic musical notes, a few lines and Murphy's inimitable laugh: welcome to the sequel to the Beverly Hills Cop franchise (the trilogy will also be released on February 20, 2024 in 4K UHD) . A return that looks pretty good considering this first trailer.

Everyone has aged except Murphy, who looks like he hasn't moved since the '80s, so much so that if he was driving a DeLorean between takes, we wouldn't be surprised. This is the long-awaited and unexpected fourth film in the popular franchise, always driven by the mischievous Eddie Murphy.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. this summer on Netflix

In this new opus, Detective Axel Foley (Eddy Murphy) returns to Beverly Hills decades after his last notable visit to the city. After her daughter's life is threatened, She (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old friends, Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton), to try to foil a terrible plot.

Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot and Kevin Bacon complete the cast of the film directed by Mark Molloy from a screenplay written by Will Beall, Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, based on the characters created by Danilo Bach and Daniel Petrie Jr . Eddy Murphy, Mark Malloy, Jerry Bruckheimer, Melissa Reid and Chad Oman are producing the film, which is expected to be available on Netflix in summer 2024.
