On December 12 on the PlayStation Store, a free expansion to download for the game God of War Ragnarök was offered for Playstation 4 and PlayStation 5, named God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla.
God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla, Sony has its say
Requiring ownership of the original game, Valhalla is presented as a thank you to the players thanks to whom Ragnarök has sold more than 15 million units worldwide (figure as of November 19, 2023)! This extension is a prologue to the main game, it offers “Roguelite” gameplay, i.e. a repeated game loop to improve your character each time. To quote Sony: “With each attempt, you will learn and adapt to the challenges Valhalla has to offer. The more you defeat, the more resources you will gain that you can use for permanent upgrades that will affect both Kratos and Valhalla itself."
