We finally know the showrunner of the series The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

It's becoming clearer for the series adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, with the arrival of a showrunner.

It is the American screenwriter, director and producer of Canadian origin Veena Sud who will act as showrunner for this new serial adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, previously showrunner of the excellent American remake of The Killing.

Back to basics for Lisbeth Salander

The story, already adapted for the cinema by David Fincher with Rooney Mara in Millennium: the men who didn't like women, and before him by Niels Arden Oplev with Millennium (2008, followed by two other TV films), is is therefore preparing to be released for the first time in series at Amazon and MGM Studios. The chaotic journey of this young 24-year-old hacker (unforgettable Noomi Rapace in Oplev's film, photo below) will take place in the universe of the late writer's four novels (100 million copies sold worldwide).

At the start of the project (which dates back to last May), there was talk that The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo would feature the main character of the novel, Lisbeth Salander, but that the story would be different from those of the novels. At the moment, nothing is known about the plot of the series. Source: Variety
