Netflix is serious about video games, let's face it!

Netflix will do everything to ensure that its video game offering is taken seriously by the public.

According to the latest indiscretions collected by the Wall Street Journal, Netflix will take new measures to establish itself as a serious player in the video game market.

Netflix, provider of free mobile video games since 2021!! !!

As a reminder, since the end of 2021, the streaming platform Netflix has diversified its activity by launching a free video game offer, reserved for its subscribers. Games only available on mobile devices, and which will soon be joined by streaming versions (Cloud Gaming) on PCs, multimedia boxes, Smart TVs and other devices with the Netflix application, or even on computers via Netflix.com.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Netflix no longer wants to be seen as a provider of “small” mobile games. The platform therefore intends to develop original titles around its strong licenses such as Squid Game, Tyler Rake, Stranger Things or Black Mirror. A game based on Wednesday (see photo below) is also about to be launched. In addition to its own titles, Netflix is also reportedly looking to acquire titles from strong franchises like Grand Theft Auto.
