Netflix: price increase after the end of the American actors' strike?

Netflix reportedly intends to increase the price of its subscription once the actors' strike in the United States is over.

The writers' strike recently ended in the United States, but the actors' strike continues, targeting (among other things) the abuse of artificial intelligence and the devaluation of human labor by production companies , including Netflix.

Netflix, price increase planned for 2024?

The streaming giant is therefore trying to keep a low profile, and according to indiscretions collected by the Wall Street Journal, Netflix is waiting for the end of the strike to announce a price increase for its Standard subscription. For reference, there are only three options left on Netflix in the US: the cheapest with ads, Standard, and Premium. In France, four choices remain: Essential with advertising (€5.99/month), Essential (€8.99), Standard (€13.49) and Premium (€17.99). The price increase will happen first in the USA and Canada, then the rest of the world will follow. We can therefore expect a more expensive Standard option from us in 2024, as well as a disappearance of the Essential option.
