First quarter of 2023, PS5 record sales
For the last quarter of its fiscal year, i.e. the first quarter of the year (January-March 2023), the PS5 sold 6.3 million copies, three times more than the same period last year. This is not better than the previous quarter -7.1 million- but the figure remains respectable, knowing that this third quarter included the sales of the holiday season, which are still very high.
This success is due in particular to better availability of the console, the PS5 having remained difficult to find for a long time due to a shortage of electronic components.
