Unrecord video game, you've never seen this (video)

Made by a small French team, this game is so photorealistic that the developers had to justify themselves and promise that yes, it is indeed a PC game, currently in development. Impressive.

Produced by the independent French studio Drama and looking for investors, the Unrecord video game is revealed through a simply breathtaking demo video. The Unreal Engine is brilliantly exploited for a rendering so realistic that the developers have even justified the authenticity of their project.

The Drama Society speaks for Unrecord

“Many doubts have been raised about the authenticity of the gameplay,” Drama said in an FAQ on Unrecord's Steam page. The game is developed on Unreal Engine 5 and game footage is captured from an executable and played using a keyboard and mouse. This is not a virtual reality game. In fact, it seems rather flattering to compare Unrecord's graphics to the real thing, but fortunately we know that a game focuses first on the gameplay and the universe that we are primarily focused on. Given the high production costs of a video game and our global reputation at stake, if Unrecord was a scam, it would be a blockbuster scam. Therefore, there is logically not one. We don't use any real video or rendering external to Unreal Engine for the creation of Unrecord”.

Currently in the early stages of development, the Unrecord game won't be released until 2024.
