Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 heavier and thicker?

A few weeks before the release of the Galaxy S23 series, rumors are already beginning to emerge on Samsung foldables for the month of August, in particular the Galaxy Z Fold 5 model.

The next model in Samsung's line of foldable Galaxy Z Fold smartphones, the fifth of its name, is expected to arrive in August, and Vietnamese media outlet The Pixel already has some rumors about it.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Qualcomm Snapdragon 985 5G processor engraved in 4nm

Remember that the factories of smartphone manufacturers are not all in China, and that countries such as Vietnam and India have recently become privileged host countries for their installations. It is therefore normal that indiscretions emerge in these places. We thus learn that the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be equipped with a processor engraved in 4 nm, more precisely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 985 5G. This name has never been mentioned before and it could actually be the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The device will also be thicker (6.5 mm instead of 6.3 mm for the Z Fold 4) and heavier (275 g against 263 g). Bad news a priori, but the thickness would be increased to make room for a cavity for the S-Pen stylus. As for the weight, it would be due to new photo sensors, larger and more efficient.
