Nintendo Switch price: no increase in sight (yet)

While inflation has an impact on the price of electronic products and in particular game consoles, Nintendo wants to be reassuring.

The PlayStation 5 has seen its price increase, and the Xbox Series S/X will follow next year, so what about the third main player on the market, Nintendo?

Over to Nintendo

During its last quarterly results announcement briefing, the Japanese company said it had no plans to increase the price of its Switch console. Asked about the possibility of a rate increase, the company replied that it “would not act in this direction for the moment” but that it would continue to observe the situation in order to change its mind, if necessary.

Shuntaro Furukawa, President of Nintendo

Last August, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa gave a similar response, saying he didn't want to scare off customers (with a price increase) and keep the momentum of his console's success going.
