Several users of the Reddit forum have made an interesting discovery using Apple's Siri voice assistant, suggesting that a new HomePod equipped with a screen is in the works.

In concrete terms, following a question posed to Siri, the assistant replied that the answer is displayed on the user's HomePod speaker. Except that the HomePod cannot display anything, since it has no screen. From there, we can deduce that Siri is already ready to manage a future device still not marketed, a HomePod precisely capable of displaying information, and therefore integrating a screen.
Note that Bloomberg already reported in the spring of 2021 that Apple would be working on such a device to compete with connected speakers from Amazon and Google.
