Wild Horse Nine, Martin McDonagh at the top, review and interview

Martin McDonagh is back, and he is not doing things by halves. With Wild Horse Nine, in theaters this November 4, the director of Three Billboards and The Banshees of Inisherin delivers one of his most accomplished films, driven by an exceptional duo formed by John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell.

On the eve of the 1973 Chilean coup d’état, two CIA agents are sent to Easter Island. Longtime partners, and friends over the years, they suddenly see their relationship put to the test. Starting from this almost detective-story premise, McDonagh builds a funny, melancholic, and deeply human fable about friendship, aging, regrets, and loyalty.

Martin McDonagh’s latest gem seen by AVcesar

On the occasion of this release, AVcesar today publishes its review of Wild Horse Nine, rated 8.5/10, as well as an interview with Martin McDonagh. The filmmaker looks back on the film’s mysterious title, its political dimension, the way he blends humor and gravity, and above all on this relationship between two men that he himself describes as “a true love story”.

A double reading to enter the heart of a film that could well rank among the peaks of his filmography. Review to discover by clicking on Wild Horse NineInterview right here: Martin McDonagh lets loose the horses
