The demand for the iPhone Duo was "simply extraordinary," Apple told our colleagues at the Financial Times, referring to the opening of reservations for its very first foldable-screen smartphone on October 16.

Within just a few minutes, delivery dates went from October 23 (official launch) to November, then to the end of January 2027. If you are only making your order now, it is therefore virtually impossible to get the device for this year 2026.
A commercial success amid tight production
If Apple can congratulate itself on such success, let us also not forget that the company is still facing production difficulties (rumors report a limited yield rate for panel manufacturing) and is therefore struggling to supply a sufficient volume to satisfy all customers at launch. That said, this start-up success deserves praise, especially for a product that costs at least €2,339 for the 256 GB version, and some €3,839 for the two-terabyte version.
