Philips TAH8000E headphone review, online
03.03.2026 • 09h52
By unveiling the TAH8000E headphones over a year ago at its European conference in Barcelona, Philips took a risk by announcing a model with an exceptional price-to-performance ratio. Seen again at last fall's Philips Century event in Eindhoven, the Philips TAH8000E did indeed seem to live up to its creator's promises. Performance that we were finally able to confirm with a full review of the product.
The Philips TAH8000E wireless headphones boast a list of technical features that wouldn't be out of place on significantly more expensive models. Certifications include Hi-Res Audio, Bluetooth Auracast, LDAC compatibility, and adaptive active noise cancellation. But the Philips TAH8000E also has a removable battery, which completely changes the game in terms of ergonomics and, above all, usability. A faulty battery is, in the vast majority of cases, the reason why wireless headphones are useless, even though the TAH8000E has the good sense to be able to be used in passive, wired mode. But replacing the battery, if necessary, will restore its full capacity and its primary function, along with great freedom of movement. The icing on the cake is its very attractive price… All that remained was to test its performance in real-world use, because headphones are primarily designed to transmit an audio signal.
