Incredible kung fu robots for the Chinese New Year

A little preview of how the future masters of the world, the robots, are going to kick human butt.
During its hugely popular annual Lunar New Year broadcast, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV aired an incredible sequence featuring robots and humans performing high-flying martial arts choreography. The humanoids in question are designed by the Chinese company Unitree, which had previously showcased the "kung-fu" capabilities of its products. But here, the bar was set much higher, with synchronized choreography featuring dozens of machines, and even interactions with humans, primarily exceptionally gifted children. Acrobatics, weapons handling, combat sequences… Knowing how easily things can go wrong when demonstrating a simple robot, the feat presented here deserves recognition, with dozens of robots moving, maneuvering, and twirling without the slightest apparent hitch. A beautiful spectacle, but also a showcase of Chinese expertise, as the country aspires to become a world leader in robotics and artificial intelligence.
