New iPhone SE, not in 2024…

If Apple releases a new version of its iPhone at a low price, it will unfortunately not be before 2025.

After a first iPhone SE in 2016, a second in 2020, then a third in 2022, the most mathematicians among us would have bet on 2024, i.e. after another couple of years (a four-year period seems too long ), for the next iteration of Apple's low-cost smartphone. Alas, that will surely not be the case if we are to believe the recent indiscretions collected by Barclays bank analysts from the links in the Asian manufacturing chain.

iPhone SE 4th generation waiting for Apple 5G modem

The fact that Apple will not launch this model in 2024 shows that the company has still not completed the development of its own 5G modem, although it started in 2018. In fact, the company will have to depend for a while on its current supplier, Qualcomm. According to the latest rumors, the mass production of this proprietary component should start in 2025 at the earliest. And to come back to the next iPhone SE, the latest rumors announce a model that will adopt the appearance of the iPhone 14, with a 6.1 '' (15.5 cm) Oled screen and a Face ID sensor. Source: macrumors
