CES 26 > Samsung Display RGB Micro OLED screen for mixed reality headsets

Samsung Display will unveil a next-generation Micro OLED RGB (OLEDOS technology) display for mixed reality headsets at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, from January 6th to 9th, surpassing the Apple Vision Pro in pixel density and color accuracy.
With a 1.4" diagonal (roughly the size of a watch face), this Micro OLED RGB screen offers an extreme density: 5,000 ppi (pixels per inch) compared to approximately 3,400 ppi for the Apple Vision Pro (Micro OLED). This density, "nearly three times greater than a 4K Ultra HD TV," guarantees absolute sharpness in VR/MR (virtual reality/mixed reality) immersion. Micro OLED RGB (OLEDoS) Screen: Key Specifications As a reminder, in terms of technical specifications, Samsung Display announced remarkable performance for this Micro OLED RGB (OLEDoS technology) screen, presented last May. Namely, excellent color accuracy with 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut, well beyond Apple's Micro OLED, and a brightness of up to 15 000 nits and a native frequency of 120 hertz.
