(UPDATE) CES 23 > Samsung The Premiere 8K, 4,000 nits ultra-short throw projector

Surprise, Samsung announces a few hours before the opening of the CES show in Las Vegas 2023 a new model within the family of ultra-short focal length projectors The Premiere, an Ultra HD 8K specimen.

First of all, besides the announcement of The Premiere 8K product, no visual of the beast has been communicated for the moment (the photos of this news correspond to the UHD 4K Samsung LSP9T model, click on the reference to discover the complete test of the product by the editorial staff of AVCesar.om), ditto for its technical specifications.

Samsung The Premiere 8K, maximum diagonal 150'' (381 cm)

We have just learned that the maximum diagonal displayed will be 150'' (381 cm) against 130'' (330 cm) for the Samsung LSP9T and 110'' (279 cm) for the Samsung LSP7T, both of which appeared in 2020. A precision, coupled with the 8K definition, which induces a significant increase in brightness, 4,000 nits.

We also know that the sound section is Dolby Atmos compatible, without further details on the on-board acoustic package, and that the Smart TV Tizen interface is included, offering access to the main streaming platforms. Of course, as with the Ultra HD 4K references, the Samsung The Premiere will only require a few tens of centimeters of recoil to offer maximum image size. Similarly, like the LPS9T, this specimen is based on a triple laser source combined with a 4K UHD DLP chip and XPR wobulation process. Namely, the keystone and the focus are managed automatically, as on the XGimi projectors. On the other hand, the question is posed about the presence of a DTT tuner (DVB-T).

The Obedience 5.1 100W audio section delivers a sound environment by reflection via the screen to give the impression that the soundstage sticks to the screen, therefore to the action. Availability announced for the end of 2023. Indicative price still unknown.
