Oops… Back to the Hisense P1 projector presented by the Chinese manufacturer at the IFA trade show in Berlin, held in early September, a new product we had omitted from our report. If the omission is now corrected, the P1, the brand's first compact projector powered by battery, is equipped with a triple laser light source, a true optical zoom, and high brightness. This could seriously shake up the portable projector market.
The large Berlin trade show enabled Hisense to present an extensive range of new products in the field of video projectors (see our news on the Hisense PX4-Pro, Hisense C3 Pro, Hisense C3 Ultra and Hisense C3 Ultra Max), and among them the P1 particularly stood out. This model expands the manufacturer’s family of long-throw projectors, launched last year with the M2 Pro, and marks a real change of direction. For the first time at Hisense, the device integrates a battery directly to offer truly mobile use. No more systematic dependence on mains power. Equipped with an integrated stand allowing 360° rotation, the P1 can be placed anywhere to easily project onto a wall or tilt the image toward the ceiling. It thus goes head-to-head with portable benchmarks such as the Xgimi MoGo 4 Laser or the Halo+.
Hisense P1, triple laser and record brightness for a portable model
Rather than sacrificing performance on the altar of mobility, the manufacturer chose to retain a true triple laser source (TriChroma [abc]RGB[/abc]) combined with a [abc]DLP[/abc] chip. While the native resolution chosen is more modest than on its home models, 1,080p and not [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc], the device is capable of projecting a generous image diagonal ranging from 65" to 150" (165 cm to 381 cm). Above all, Hisense announces a brightness of 1,000 lumens, a particularly high value for a compact battery-powered projector, putting it well ahead of the 550 lumens of a MoGo 4 Laser. Native contrast is also impressive, announced at 6,000:1 thanks to the integration of the proprietary CineBlack technology.

Another particularly rare asset in this market segment, the Hisense P1 includes a true optical zoom (1.3x). This feature proves extremely practical when on the move or in small spaces, as it makes it possible to adjust the size of the projected image without having to physically move the device backward or forward. Regarding the integrated battery, Hisense makes a deliberate trade-off by prioritizing brightness over pure endurance: battery life is around 45 minutes at full power. By reducing brightness to the maximum, this duration can reach up to 1 hour 30.

Gamers are not forgotten, far from it. The projector offers very fast specifications with a response time announced at just 1 ms in Full [abc]HD[/abc] resolution, for a refresh rate reaching 240 hertz. It is thus aimed directly at gamers looking for responsiveness on a big screen. In addition, on versions equipped with the Vidaa OS 9.6 operating system, direct access to Xbox Game Pass (via the brand’s Gaming XXL program) is included to enjoy Cloud Gaming without a wired console.
Release date and public price still unknown.
